FickleLove is such a fickle word To be claimed by youngsters chasing in fields And couples so elderly that though their hearts weaken each day They remain strong together, with hands held tight. But if love is so erratic, so unpredictable How do we know what it truly is? What shape are you, Love, to change so often From something so sweet as a mother and child To a tear filled night left alone in the dark?
